Access
There are two international airports near Taipei city:

Airport Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTY Airport) Taipei Songshan Airport
Introduction The TTY Airport is the main gateway of Taiwan. It can be accessed via over 190 non-stop and direct flights from 56 major cities throughout the world. Situated in Metropolitan Taipei. It is easily accessible from the town centers.
How to Get to TICC (Congress venue)
Metro Take Taoyuan Airport MRT from MRT Airport Terminal 1/ Airport Terminal 2 Station to MRT Taipei Main Station.
Service Hours: 06:00 – 23:30
Fare: NT$150/one way
Time to Taipei City: Express-39 mins, Commuter-52 mins

Songshan Airport Station is on the MRT Wenhu Line. Transfer to the Tamsui-Xinyi Line and get off at Taipei 101 / WTO Station. Leave from the Exit 1.
Taxi Taxis are located at the west side(meeting point 26) of the Terminal 1’s and Terminal 2’s Arrivals Lobby at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. To ensure safety for travelers, all taxis and drivers must pass a strict evaluation process by the Aviation Police Office before being allowed to service airport travelers. Songshan Airport is located in Taipei North District.
Bus There are 8 bus routes to Taipei, Bus 1960 East can go to TICC. Tickets sold at bus counters. Take Bus 967 and get off at National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall station. You’ll arrive at TICC by walking approximately 7 minutes.

Taxi
Visitors can easily find convenient taxi services in Taipei. Charges are NT$70 for the first 1.25 km and NT$5 for each additional 200 meters. Out-of-town or long-distance travels may not apply to meter charge. In Taiwan, most of the taxi drivers do not speak English, therefore, it is suggested to have hotel personnel write both your destination and your hotel’s name and address in Mandarin, along with the estimate charge first, so that you can directly hand it over to the diver to avoid misunderstanding.

Bus
Buses in Taipei are numerous and the routes are well-planned. Once you visit Taipei, buses are a great way to get around the city. Buses take EasyCard or cash. Prices are calculated by distance. Tickets come in three price levels: One-segment ticket, regular NT$15; Two-segment ticket, regular NT$30; Three-segment, NT$45. Passengers can get on and off a bus from the front or back door. Please check to see if passengers must pay before or after the bus ride.

Taipei City YouBike
There is an NT$5 charge for the 30 minutes in Taipei city. For rentals over 30 minutes, charges remain unchanged. Visitors should follow four steps to rent a YouBike: register as a YouBike member → select a bicycle → ride → return the bicycle. You may rent a bike using an EasyCard, after completing the membership registration process at any rental station kiosk or on YouBike’s website. For one-time users, select “one-time rental” on the kiosk and follow the instructions to pay. Then, enjoy your cycling trip in Taipei city!

Taipei Metro
The MRT metro system is the most convenient way to get around in Taipei. It operates from 06:00 to 24:00 daily. The system operates according to a spoke-hub distribution paradigm, with six lines running radically outward from central Taipei. Trains operate at intervals of 1.5 to 15 minutes depending on the line and time of day. A “Single-journey Ticket” costs between NT$20 to NT$65 depends on distance. A NT$150 One-day Pass purchased from a service booth will allow unlimited travel among all MRT lines within one day. To keep the MRT trains clean, smoking, eating drinking are strictly prohibited.
